    Sure JR. The 1934 Chrysler Airflow was the first unibody US built car, followed by the Lincoln Zypher a year or so later.
    The Corvair's claim to fame was it was the first US built car with 4 wheel independent suspension AND aircooled engine AND unibody construction...
    All those features were around, but the Corvair was the first US car to use them all at once.
