Interesting thread------------------

I have owned several Mopars, my favorite was a 70 Plymouth Satellite. That
was a fast, good looking car.

Fords?-- Owned many over the years. My high school car was a 53 German Ford;
my college car was a 47 Ford coupe; my all time favorite was a 66 390 LTD
and my play toys are a 31 Model A roadster and a 56 T-Bird with 3sp OD. It
is hard to believe only 25 years separated the Model A and the T-Bird!

GM vehicles? Three or four dozen Corvairs, a 67 El Camino and a 86 Buick
Limited Skylark. The Buick was the most unreliable car I have ever owned. I
have always (since 1960) owned at least one Corvair. They are my favorite
vehicles.

Currently I have a 2000 Grand Caravan. The Caravan is the most reliable and
versatile vehicle to date. 152K so far. You can camp in it, haul 7 people,
tow a decent size trailer etc. I have flat towed several Corvairs home with
it and also towed the Model A for 300 miles on a tow dolly. Did I mention
that it gets 25-27 mpg highway? It even gets 19-20 while towing.

Recently bought a 2003 Saturn Wagon with the GM Ecotec 2.2 engine for my
wife. It seems like a decent car with good handling and low 30's fuel
economy.

Still have the Model A and the 56 T-Bird plus two 69 Vairs and a 66 four
door parts car. Thinking of letting one of the 69 Vairs go to someone who
can spend a little more time with it.
