<VV> Wiper motor question

Essentially there are two 12 volt inputs to the motor. One goes through
the wiper switch and feeds voltage to the motor as long as the switch is
in the "ON" position. The second feeds the motor through an internal
"park" contact that rotates with the motor shaft. Turn the dash switch
off and the motor will continue to run until the park switch opens up.
The fact that your motor runs indicates it's good. If it fails to park
when connected to the car correctly, you probably have a bad contact
inside.

Subject: <VV> Wiper motor question

Dumb question of the day. I have set up my wiper motor and washer for a

bench check. The motor runs, and has two speeds - my question is how
does it "park"?? When I remove the ground (turn off the switch) it just

stops. In the car, it will continue to run until the wipers are
parked... could someone explain? Or is this motor assembly NFG?
Thanks in advance
