<VV> oil leak problem fix?

oil leek problem fix?
64 vair Problem:oil leeking from base of  dipstick and pvc system
solution: to fix seals in PCV system
Ive heard -the crancase cover has a vent that sometimes sticks.Should I put a screen on a proped open vent?
If I do what other modifications are required?I will have to get the shrouds of etc and for that amount of work Id like to make sure I dont have to revisit that area
