The French-Canadiens (Canucks) have been so long in Canade that they no  
longer speak French as it is spoken in France; French-language movies have to be  
dubbed-in for the Quebecois.
 
BTW, I was born and raised on the largest city on the US-Canadian border,  
and Canuck was slang for any Canadian, not just the Francaise.
