<VV> Cash for Clunkers

Well, let's get them (the Pols) thinking in another direction.

Give (for example) a $3,000 tax credit over a 3 year period provided the car
is kept for the period - say 1,000 per yr or some other schedule - for the
purchase of a "green" US built car. Does not matter if a car was traded or
junked. This would help the economy recover as well as leading the US fleet
toward a more eco-friendly (oil independence?) outcome.

But, this will probably put this topic into the realm of "talk" categories
and I'm not a member over there - so will shut up on it.

Later, JR
