it sounds like a vacuum leak such as hose came off , or base screws  
loosened up on carburetor . check the screws between the bowl and base.   also 
check the crossover tube bolts at the heads. the coupling hose between the  
turbo and crossover tube can deteriorate from heat also.  get the water  spray 
, or propane torch (UNLIT) to look for leaks.
