Au Contraire!  LM 500 models came standard with simple hub caps, one 
design for 65-67, another for 68-69.  They 65-67 style turn up 
reasonably often at swap meets etc., while the 68-69 style is less common.

Similarly, 1962-3-4 base models came with plain hub caps, and these will 
fit the LM wheels.  These early styles are quite plentiful.

I own two 500s and I like the hub cap look.
