Yeah, I ruined an input shaft the one and only time I tried a needle pilot bushing.....

The Oillite bearing is softer than your shaft--the needle bearing isn't.  When the Oillite goes bad you get squeal.  When the needle bearing goes bad you get squeal (and other noises) and a torn up shaft.  I think I've still got a new, unused needle bearing on the shelf if anyone wants to buy it.....  But I've decided to stick to the Oillite throwout bearing. Bob
