there was no dirt or metal in this motor.  all super clean , new oil  and 
filter.i spend most of my time cleaning parts here.  worst part of the  job 
is cleaning parts and painting shrouds etc. i have a separate "dirty room"  
here  just for cleaning. it has a parts washer, carn cleaner cans , and a  
sandblast cabinet. i have a second cabinet waiting for installation for softer 
 metals only.  so clean is me!
after talking with others in the car hobby around this area , i wonder  
about metal hardness rockwell factor.  not sure i want to spend money  finding 
out what i already know. i have heard stories after asking , about cam ,  
and standard transmission parts going away soon because of hardness  issues.  
next is to get any recourse for your hassles....(dreaming?).
