<VV> help! intermittent nasty noise when clutching

First Corvair I even had, way back in the late sixties, had the same
problem. It is the throw out bearing, but I think they call it something
like clutch release bearing now.

If you're gonna fix that, might as well go ahead and replace the clutch too.
Don't forget the pilot bearing.
