Jim,

Many years ago, i was helping a buddy who had put a 215 Olds in the back of a 65 Corsa. He was a great metal fab man and created his own mounts and bell housing (heli-arced) and such. He was trying to use the stock air intake for cooling the radiator. No good. We ran a series of wet string tests at various speeds and found little to no air flow over the supposed air intake louvers. We even made up a couple of "wings" trying to force the air down to the intake.

Bottom line was that we moved the radiator to the front and cut an intake under the bumpers.

Good luck!
