<VV> EP Pole winner - SCCA Runoffs - National Championship

Jon Brakke of Fargo ND, is on the pole after Q3. He is 0.7 sec ahead of 2nd place Prather- a long-time winning competitor. He is a second faster than the third place starter. For those who don't know, Jon drove a Corvair/Yenko Stinger for 25 years; the last many years at the national level in GT3, finishing as high as fifth. He switched to the Miata and won the National EP championship a few years ago.

Charlie Clark, another long-time Corvair racer from Mission, KS, is 25th in GT3 in a RX-7.

Mark Coffin (NC), Bob's son, is 20th in FP in his VW Scirocco.  I believe this is his first year at the Nationals. Bob is a long-time SCCA racer - primarily in Yenko Stingers, a specialty parts developer and manufacturer, and participant in Corvair track events.

Generally the Runoffs are broadcast over the Winter on SpeedTV. You have to watch for it as there were few advertisements/announcements in the past.
