<VV> Changing a torque converter

I would certainly install a new seal on the diff. And the replacement torque converter may need a new bushing but I'm not sure how to even check it. And why not just remove the engine instead of removing the entire powertrain? I am assuming there are no other running/shifting/leaking issues to deal with. Good luck.
