Hey, come on now, it is not that difficult to do ... A couple of railroad ties [or two pair of 4x4s] set across and fastened down to the trailer placed in such a manner that they support the vehicle under the suspension control arms then fasten the control arms to the railroad ties so the springs are still supporting the vehicle. All vehicles, full chassis, stub chassis, or no chassis are designed to be able to support themselves by their suspension. If the vehicle is in poor enough that it cannot support itself then there is no reason to worry about further damage in shipping.

If the body is questionable one can wrap it with several ratcheting tie down straps. Tighten it up just enough to make it firm without crushing it. That is what I would do if I had to trailer an airplane. One should always do that with a ragged out parts car to insure the doors stay closed and it does not break in half on the highway.

It's moot now, but the Ultra Van does NOT have a chassis. They can be flat towed
with the correct tow bar. When you put on a trailer or flatbed you have to be
careful on you tie them down or you can do damage. You have specific jack
points. After all. They are airplanes without the wings......

Heading back EMPTY HANDED?????

Just because the wheels do not fit on the trailer? How about shoring up the
chassis with railroad ties or landscaping 4x4s? Even if temporary ramps are
needed to get it over the trailer. Let the wheels hang over the edges. Make it
high enough that the body is over the trailer tires if needed. Think how narrow
the trailers are that carry pontoon boats! Chain the Ultra down with binders
and drive carefully ... in a safe and sane manner and it will safely follow you
home.
Ken. there must be a way, P
