<VV> GM had every reason to discontinue the Corvair

Running the "Park" mechanism to the rear mounted PG was probably a big 
reason why the PG Corvair didn't have this feature.

My question is why they went with a 2-speed ? ("2 slow" and "2 high")

The PGs in the rest of the Chevy line had a Park position -- why didn't
the Corvair??

Most all Auto's I've torn down, have the Park   mechanism in the tailshaft.
