<VV> Was the Astro I the 'prototype' 1968 Corvette ?

I was wrong about the year, it was 1966 and I got the info from a a 
statement in Mike Knepper's "Corvair Affair" book page 128. This was John's 
statement and he believed the 68 Corvette used some of the Pheonix designs in its 
design. He mentions that Chuck Jordan took the car for a couple hours during 
his visit.
