 that with that little connection to the air cleaner, ala oem 
Corvair, there is no suction on the crankcase, and the balance tube only 
gets what fumes are forced out of the crankcase.   Bill S.

 The 0.060"  hole gives lots of vacuum / draw!!   BUT....




 The 1/2' tube to the filter housing is where fresh air gets in when the engine is not running....and where EXCESS  blowby escapes 


And we all should know a dry filter housing is a sign of a healthy engine....  oil in it... worn / broken rings..
