<VV> Corphibian

Does anyone have any information about a vehicle called the "Corphibian"? I am told it was based on a Corvair pickup and was owned by a Wally Wheeler in Michigan and sold in a Barret Jackson auction early in this decade. The Charlotte Motor Speedway is looking for it for possible inclusion in one of their displays at the Spring Autofair. They are featuring amphibious vehicles as well as Corvairs and think it would be appropriate.
