Yes, but:  The '64 tanks in PG FCs had the indentations and blank 
areas where the tunnel tube would otherwise be installed.

Rule of thumb:  ANY gas tank for an FC will work in any 
Powerglide-equipped FC, and in any first-design stock-shift FC.  The 
"tunnel tank" is necessary for a second-design stick-shift equipped FC.
