Hank (aka: FMOLG): Let's see if I get this right. You have bailed out of
CORSA, say you have no dog in the fight, but you continue to tell those of
us, CORSA members, how the organization we belong to should work. Since you
are not a dues paying member, you have no right to tell the rest of us what
you would do if you were a dues paying member. Discussing what CORSA should
do is solely the prerogative of dues paying members. It is like illegal
and/or non-citizen type people in this country telling us what we should do.
If you want a voice, fulfill the requirements of membership/citizenship.

You have no right to ask or demand any BoD member to explain anything on VV.
In the first place, VV is not meant to be a place where CORSA leadership
makes announcements to a group which may have as many or more non-CORSA
members than members. Folks like you. VV was never meant to be a forum for
CORSA discussions. It has kinda turned into that, to our shame. Guilty as
charged, but only in response to the miss-information and/or miss-direction
of others.

Second, the official publication of CORSA is the Communique. The web sight
is not.

President Tim cannot fire any BoD member. But since, according to you, Jack
did not fulfill his responsibility to maintain his CORSA membership he
automatically cannot be a BoD member. By definition. CORSA membership is a
requirement to be on the BoD. No membership, no position on the BoD. If
true, the only thing President Tim did was enforce the By-laws. Which he
should do. It is not like it is hard to know when your membership expires.
It is on the Communique mailing label each month. Cannot speak for others,
but I have always received my renewal notice well in advance of my
membership expiration date. If what you say is true, Jack is without
excuse. As a Marine, you should understand failure, and consequences
thereof, for not following the requirements of the office.

There are no backdoor decisions being made about BoD membership. When a
director resigns from the BoD, their replacement is appointed by either the
President, Executive Committee or the entire BoD, per the CORSA By-laws. I
don't know which is the case. But the process has been in place and has
worked successfully for many, many years. The BoD member who resigned, for
whatever the reason, is at least the 4th to do so since about 1990. I, for
one, prefer BoD members resign if the foibles of life overtakes them, rather
than them just filling a line in the organization chart. My hat is off to
those who have done the honorable thing in such circumstance. I respect
them immensely.

You, on the other hand....

As for you getting cussed out, that is a hoot! I've been cussed out off
line by you one time to many. As have others. As the chief purveyor of
vulgar, obscene and profane e-mails, you are a filthy corrupt pot calling
others dirty. Give us a break. Go away. Craw back into whatever swamp you
normally reside in. If you cannot control your vocabulary adequately to
respond here, don't bother. You will be deleted without remorse.

No longer Historically Yours,
                   James Rice

Member of original CPF Advisorary Committee
CORSA/CPF BoD member and CPF Liaison 1999-01
                   Occasional contributor to the Communique

Subject: <VV> Interesting talk round the Campfire

Surprising what you can hear. Yesterday I heard round the campfire that
Allen Bristow took Scott Morehead's place on the Board.

I've known Allen over 20 years, beginning when I joined Tidewater CC. Past
Chapter Pres., Past Director, Past CORSA President, and I know him to be a
fair, reasonable and honest person.

I'm not a big By-Law reader, so I guess if this is true, there's no election
required to fill the seat of a resigning director for the remainder of the
term. No matter to me, as I am no longer a member of CORSA.

Allen will be an asset, and he's not an advocate of the "Free Ride" for
CORSA chapter members to refuse to pay dues to CORSA.

Even more interesting, I was told last night that Director Jack Pinard was
"Fired" by CORSA President Mahler because his dues were 2 days late getting
to M&P.

I've no idea if either was true, but as a non-member I've got no dog in the
fight, and at the minimum you would think the BoD would announce on the
website and on V V that we had a new director appointed and one apparently
sacked. From the Board, not even the chirp of a cricket.

If I was a dues paying member, I'd think our BoD was copying our Congress.
Back door decisions, tossing directors under the bus, directors quitting,
directors being fired,

I sure would like some director to get their ass on here and tell me what I
was told was a pack of lies, and offer some proof. But I'm sure not hopeful
that it will happen. Instead I'll probably get cussed out and told what a
bastard I am.

Let's see

HANK
