<VV> Corvairs in the Winter

This evening I had a very pleasant dinner with my 83 year
old neighbor as a thank you for keeping his driveway
shoveled out. Seems like everyday of late we have an extra
couple of inches of snow to clear out.

John's hobby is building ice racing boats. He is still
hard at it in his basement working away. Since I moved
next door three years ago he has seen many Corvairs come
and go. He prefers the early model 4 door sedans as that
is what he had "back in the day".

It was great to hear him reminisce about hauling his ice
boat on the roof of his bought-it-new 1962 Corvair sedan
to the frozen lakes around Pittsburgh. He said the car was
great in the snow. He could drive up the side of a
building... Only had to use the chains once...

Has anybody here on the list experienced the joys of
winter driving in a Corvair lately??? - Caveman Pete
