<VV> coil problems

i had the same problems on 2 coils last year , but if the same coils are  
run with pertronics , they are aok.  first clue: they run WAY too hot   (to 
the touch!) if only on points or older CD ignitions due to lower resistance  
primary. i did not look into it closer , because i am just plain too tied up 
 with other things.
this happened on the truck when i had other than pertronics on it while  
going thru hell with other issues last year.
