<VV> recoloring faded seats? advice needed

Get an upholstery shop to do the dye job for you.  It may be too late for 
that unless they have a way to remove yours.  Possibly so - with the 
appropriate thinner.

Even the best dye job is only going to last 2 to 3 years on a car in more or 
less daily use.
