That's not the cover he's referring to. NEVER drive with the oil cooler cover removed. It's only there for cleaning crud from the oil cooler. The cover to be removed is called the summer/winter plate that is on the top of the left rear shroud (the shroud that holds the rear thermostatically controlled door).
