<VV> manual tran to PG conversion

Ok my son is converting his 64 manual transmission car to PG. He is not changing the wiring harness. Other than bypassing the neutral switch(which has no provision on the manual wiring) the only real problem seems to be the backup lights. Are there any easy fixes out there anyone knows of for this problem? Other than replacing the harness....like a bypass wire to neutral switch?
