<VV> EM Wheels DO NOT = 4 3/4" - 5 bolts (GM Std ?)

I believe the original post was asking about EM Corvairs ... with a 4 bolt circle. The only ones I have seen that would actually work 'as is' on a Corvair were from a 1962 Chevy II [soon to be Nova] with a 14 inch wheel option. I bet there were not many of those to be found even back in the day.

But the 5 bolt GM wheels, commonly known as A body wheels but there is some variation in that assumption, are plentiful in 14 inch and 15 inch also ... keeping in mind that offset and width is important to keep the wheel / tire from hitting parts of the suspension or the body. It is easy enough to drill hubs and axle flanges to the 5 bolt circle pattern. And one might also want to adjust the steering stop to prevent tire rubbing in tight turns.

GM wheels of the same era are also 4 3/4" - 5 bolts, and have been widely
used on Corvairs.

The rim widths vary, and together with increased diameters, can cause issues
with the tires rubbing the inside of the front wheel openings

Add this to wider tire profiles and you'll find there's a lot to consider,
although I think the advantages are worth the hassle

Inside wheel wells seams are sometime mangled to bend them away from larger
tires - aarrgghh !

Have fun !
