<VV> Membership woes

Well I think every thing has been covered over and over again.  One thing I 
know is your never going to force anyone to join a local club or  CORSA. To 
gain new members we have to have an attraction. The have to want to  join. 
With the income CORSA has and not being able to attract new members the  
problem is we have a wonderful magazine that we cannot afford. Also we have ins 
 that cost a lot to carry. Offering those 2 things does not seem to be 
enough of  an attraction to prospective members. Without a doubt the Magazine 
has to either  be sent out less often or find a cheaper way to produce it. 
What is the biggest  thing that new members join local clubs? I think it's to 
get help and assistance  working on their Corvairs. Our small club has gained 
quite a few members because  we have a Corvair Cavalry that helps work and 
fix members cars. Maybe the  Magazine should focus more on Tech articles 
that people want instead of show  cars that most could never afford. In order 
to save CORSA they have to gain  membership which isn't working or cut 
expenses and downsize. Sending the  Magazine out electronically is a great idea 
but with the average of members I  think it would be a hard sell. Heck some 
still don't have a cell phone. I don't  have all the answers but I do have an 
opinion, and this is my opinion.
