15 years ago I would have agreed with this. My experience since then is
the small seats fall out also. I personally have changed more small
valve heads because of seat fall out than 140 heads.

If you want it bullet proof, you have to spend the money to get new
seats installed by a Corvair head specialist.

But if you can find a set of never run hot small valve heads-go for it.
It is still a small percentage of Corvairs that have had the valve 
seats
fall out.
