Mark - As far as I know, NO Concours chair has ever been "shown the door".  
Every past Chairman has decided to step down on their own. Also, as far 
back as  I have knowledge, the Concours folks had complete control over the 
Concours  rules. 
 
Also, for the record, most members of Corsa are not "Racers" or "Totally  
Stock" enthusiasts. There is a middle round, folks who just like to maintain 
and  drive their Corvairs. They might run an autocross once a year, and show 
their  car a few times - Show, not Concours - but, generally, they just 
drive them.  They don't try to represent them as Indy 500 winners, or 
as-delivered originals.  Why should those folks be abused by someone because the 
regular road speeds of  today reward slightly taller rear tires? Or cloth seats 
with better back  support, etc. etc.   

 
In short, if  you insist on telling me what I should do with my Corvair, I 
will happily tell  you what you can do with yours! <grin>
