<VV> Apology?

Hi--

I would like to respond to Bill's accusations.

Below is a message to Marissa regarding the SCG DB. I did not know that
the SCG database was wiped until I saw her note.

One has to understand that there is no graphical interface on the
server; it is all command line, and Linux command line at that. I was
doing some maintenance and I got a switch wrong, which deleted all of
the databases. The SCG database was setup in a separate MySQL server
instance. And I still feel bad about it today.

Secondly, no one except Bill very recently asked for a public apology.
When he did, I responded immediately.

And finally, although Mike and I do work for CORSA, we are not
employees. You can think of us as vendors or contractors. But there is
no where in my contract that we are supposed to setup databases for
chapters or SIGs. I did so because Kent, Marissa, Sam, and Bill are
friends and SCG seemed like a worthy cause.

Hi Marissa--

It is my fault. I was working on moving the CORSA database into the
'main' subdirectory and I mistakenly erased all the databases. I did
restore them, but just now I looked at the SCG database and it did not
restore. I feel terrible. I am so sorry.

Maybe Bryan has some 'magic' he can work.
