I too thought the color white was "un-inspired".
And never cared for it.
Then 2 years ago I had a deal of a lifetime come along on a 77 Continental
Mark V for $500.
I got used to the white real quick.
Last year along comes a 66 Monza, 4-speed, mildly customized, with the
brightest shade of white, with white Pontiac rally wheels.
I fell in love!
Bought it, Sunday I brought it out of the garage to go to a cruise.
In the garage under the fluorescent lights it looked dusty.
Sun beating down on it was blinding!
I did wash it anyways...........

I always say, it's your car, paint it whatever color you want!
You are the one who has to be happy with it but no-one else matters.
Then again..........I also have a 62 Corvair convert painted in primer
black.
Car has it's own character as well!

No matter what color though, they all show up the bird poop!
Take it from a guy who washed a Lincoln, a blue Ram, and a Black Prius
today.

Of all the colors of the spectrum that you can paint a car, the one I hate
the most is WHITE. This car started out White. I HATE WHITE CARS----White
is the cheapest color you can get on a car. Looks like hell all the time.
