<VV> Chevrolet emblem on 60 models

Is it attatched to the hood? I'm only aware of the CORVAIR emblems on both fenders and the front cowl having the large (beautiful?) emblem. I think it attatches with nuts. Do you have the "assembly" manual for the '60? I'm sure it has that answer and many others.
