<VV> Explain wheel off-set again ???

I'm confused. If backspace is the distance from the inside rim to the 
mounting face, what is offset?

"Offset"  is the difference from the wheel's center being mounted to the rim, IE:


6" rim....  3"  is the middle.... "0" offset  / 3" BS


Mount the center 2"  from the outer edge...and you have "-  1"  offset"  / 4"  BS


Mount the center 2"  from the inner edge...and you have "+  1"  offset"  / 2"  BS [  Common on most 60's cars.. ]


 Here's my  9" / +5"  offset / 2" BS
