<VV> Tools & Spares (why????)

Never have had a cam gear fail in a car I was driving but I have bought a couple of cars with that problem. Never had a ball joint break but I have replaced them when they approached the maximum allowable wear point. I don't like cars that do not drive well so I keep up on things like that. I also bought a 66 that the front crossmember broke in half but had no trouble in replacing the whole assembly. I have had a solenoid start to click a few times before it would start the car so I rotated the contact post 180 degrees before it stranded me someplace.

I also had one that broke a connecting rod but it did not stop running and made it to my garage. Replaced with used parts and drove it for years. Sold it 30 years ago but it is still around.
