Adm. Yamamoto had an idea that we had this kind of capability, he'd been
over here in the 1920's.  That's why he was so upset when the timing on the
Pearl Harbor attack got 'messed up' and made it a surprise attack.  He knew
that the US would just crank up the volume and smash Japan, no matter how
many were willing to die for the Emperor.

Just like they turned out Corvairs just down the road.  Amazing how
efficient the assembly line really can work.  I start the vair or any car
and sometimes take a moment to marvel at how well it works, all the various
critical parts working just fine.  Gotta give engineers a lot of credit, as
well as the everyday Joes and Janes who put them together.
