Out of curiosity, what abbreviations do you guys see when you look at the
bidding on this Dub City Rampside ?

I see these :

 Bidder Bid Amount Bid Time
 Member Id: z***i( 153) US $3,950.00 Nov-24-10 19:15:45 PST
 Member Id: s***p( 51) US $3,900.00 Nov-24-10 16:27:17 PST
 Member Id: i***i( 265) US $3,800.00 Nov-23-10 19:08:36 PST

Do you see different aliases that eBay uses to hide real IDs ?

I have saved pages and printouts of many things that I watched way back,
when eBay showed the real names, and I may be one of the reasons that they
stopped, but it opened a lot of great dialog that's not possible anymore.

The fake IDs are linked to each bidder's history anonymously, so shill
bidders and buyers who are biding up their friend's items can still be
spotted though.

Charlie
