The wording in the '66 owner manual is:

"With bucket seats, the inner belt half is anchored behind the opposite seat."

  What about a benchseat '68 500? They weren't crossed when we got the car a couple years ago, so I just put them back in the way I found them, non-crossing. Is this right?

    are used in a crisscross fashion.  The one bolted behind the passenger seat
