Hi Jim,

You've done it again! I loosened the clamp at the bottom of the column, (I
already had the top one at the dash removed) and I twisted and pulled the
housing just a little and now it lines up perfectly! Thanks do much for the
exorcism!

  The column housing(?) can move down toward the floor and away from the
wheel and cause this to happen (don't ask me how I know)..  Check to see if
the clamp near the floor and the one under the dash have allowed the housing
to move...
