<VV> New engine possibilities

Why does everyone think they are going to get something for free? Internal combustion engines became the norm because the conversion of fuel to energy takes place within. Electric cars require power to be generated elsewhere then be transferred from the source to the vehicle and this engine requires electricity from the source to be transferred to the compressor and transferred again to the vehicle and yet another transfer from the storage chambers to the motor. There is a loss at EACH ONE of these transfers because each is less than 100% efficient. Everyone on this list knows the cost of running an air compressor. And the higher the pressure the greater the cost ... who would want to be around for the concussion should one of these high pressure air tanks fail? Even if the wear problem could be over come the loss in efficiency through all the transfers could not be tolerated. A hydraulic motor would be superior to the air system. There is nothing free there either.

There was no mention of any solution to the wear problem that has been
chronic with all of the similar designs that have preceeded this one.
