<VV> LM speedometer cable

Mike, the problem you are going to find is the cable sheath is gonna be
bugger'd up inside at that point where the old cable snapped... and it snapped
because water/dirt/whatever got up inside the sheath where it has cracked
at that "stress/flex" area...
You may be able to find a NAPA or Federated Auto Parts that still sells the
"universal" cable insert, that you'll need to cut to length, but odds are
it won't last long.
Did you try Larry? Raffee? Some of the "smaller" parts guys?
Good luck on whatever path you go... a cheap GPS can double as a
speedometer, if you have one laying around... I use Cheryl's GPS (she goes
"geocacheing" as a hobby) to check the accuracy of my vehicles... the Corvair is
spot-on, while the old truck is reading 9 MPH slower than actual speed, and
shows only 8/10th when you've driven one mile... no wonder the MPG average
sucks.
:-)
Later,
Lonzo

We have vendors for that. Let's support them.

I found the problem, cable twisted off about 6 inches from the grease cup.
Does
anybody have a spare cable they are willing to sell. Been using tach to
keep
speed near posted limit.
