<VV> Tech supplement, dates

Tim,

For the record, the tech tip (free-wheeling tow hubs) I mentioned appeared
in a January issue of the CC. I felt it was such a helpful tip (judging
from all the VV requests I had for it) that cutting it out would be a
disservice to CORSA membership. And it is also a tech tip that will become
less valuable as time goes on, since probably less people will be
flat-towing Corvairs as time goes on. That is why I requested that such an
"exception" be made. Extending the cutoff point one month wouldn't have
killed anybody, and would hardly have been enough to be noticable. The Tech
Guide IS supposed to be of greatest service to the membership, right? But
instead all we got was some blind, rigid-thinking, lame excuse for not
extending the cutoff point by ONE month. Thus all I can conclude is that
there was some animosity against "anything invented by Mark" (similar to
the notorious "not invented here" syndrome?) Oh well, it was the membership
that has been short-changed, not me.

BTW, as per my previous post, the latest Tech Guide edition/supplement/etc.
bears evidence of being rushed into print, what with all the mismatched
paragraphs at virtually every chapter interface. It really needs to be
re-edited and corrected. And is the CD just as messed up? What a waste!
