and comes apart in acetone.  With all the crap in gasoline today, I'm not
sure there isn't acetone or some chemical with similar properties in it.

i had a carb start weeping gas from too much in the bowl even with float  
looking correct. i ended up replacing new viton needles with steel ones
after 
 seeing the viton looking porus under a magnifying lamp , not shiny as new 
ones.  i THINK it may be the new alky gas attacking?. anyhow the steel 
needle fixed it  ok so far. that 2 vehicles i had to fix like that so far.
i am tired of r&r ing carbs lately.
i have used 2 new pumps from NAPA lately with no problems on my last 2  
motors i built, they now keep them on shelf here.
i have clarks pumps on 2 other vehicles here running ok for a long time  
now.
its getting to be a real pain keeping up with new types of gas and oil  
issues these days!
