<VV> 1960 to 1961 Cylinder Head differences

I thought the bakelite spacers were an early running change early in the 60 
 production, along with the warm air tube with the summer/winter valve. Our 
1960  500 purchased new and built in March had the bakelite spacers.

A final  note: 1960's used an aluminum spacer between the 
head and the carb base.  This was changed in 1961 to a 
black bakelite piece. Suggest you use the  bakelite on the
