<VV> Parking Brake Cable question - work inside the car ?

Understood. You sound frustrated to me so maybe just take a deep breath and walk away from it for awhile. That has worked for me many times over in my career as an auto mechanic. If you believe the cable is too short, e mail Clarks and ask them to measure another cable length and compare that measurement with yours. This will keep them from sending another one that is too short and you having to wait more for something that also will not work. Are you certain you are routing the cable properly? Without trying to make you more frustrated, the PROPER way to do this is to:
1. Hook up cable to lever (ball end)
2. Route cable properly to undercarriage hooking up to (lubed) pulleys
3. Install forward nut onto (lubed) stud [part of cable]
4. Put thru rearward cable (the one that goes to both rear wheels)
5. Install rear nut and adjust for proper handbrake operation
Again, wishing you good luck and I hope to see you and your car next month in Palm Springs
