Shouldn't the filtering properties of the filter remove the metal particles?
 understand how transmission filters could let stuff by that a magnet could
ater catch, but oil filters are packed full of filtering material, and I
hange mine often.  Should metal fragments be able to get to the edges of a
igh quality oil filter through all of the other stuff they would have to
et through?
