<VV> [fastvair] 2012 Mitty

  Mike and I began talking about doing this at this years Mitty. We also decided to wait until the Convention was over before we put out the word to get interest in doing this event.

  We are hoping that others who may be on the fence about participating would see whom and how many are going and decide to come also.
  This includes spectators as well as competetors. To be alble to say you took part in an epic Corvair racing event would be a large feather in anyone's cap. Its about building momentum.
  Planing as far ahead as possible so we all have time to do it.

          Yes HSR will accept other licenses,  and  you dont have to join HSR ro run. The entry is just a little more.  Mike

          WOW !!  21 possibilities and and not done yet !
          If this could be pulled off with over 10 cars, it would be fantastic, especially in these economic times.
          I am planning on attending this event , circumstances permitting, and I am sure there are more cars out there which could qualify.
          The biggest hurdle is the probably the license requirement.
          HOWEVER, I believe that HSR will let a newbie run if they participate in the practice and evaluation track day on the Thursday [?] before the event and a HSR license is applied for.
          I think Warren used this method at a previous Mitty.
          Also, and Mike L can chime in her, but proven previous race or any track experience [ old license, result sheets, NECC, etc ] also help a lot, and Mike knows the tech and admin folks pretty well .
          Heck HSR even made a class for his V8 car !!
