Carl,

FIrst, I would like to thank you for your attendence at this year's
International Convention. I enjoyed meeting and talking with you at the
CORSA and CPF Meetings. I also wanted to thank you for the business card;
I've found a place of prominence in my office for it (in the frame of one of
my Q-Corvette pieces of arwork).

I regret that you had the difficulties that you had at the banquet. It was
a mistake, and we all learn from our mistakes. As always, hindsight is
20/20, and we can't go back and change what's already been done. I don't
know that this will help change your mind, but if you decide to attend the
2012 convention in Sturbridge, MA, let me know and I will personally pay for
your banquet ticket, and I'll make sure that you receive it.

None of the folks who host these events are professionals, and honestly, I'm
glad we're able to find folks willing to host them. Reading the negative
comments posted about some of the past conventions really doesn't encourage
people to step forward and take on the challenges. It's a lot of work, but
it can also be very rewarding. I think we often times loose sight of that
side of it.

I do hope that you will reconsider attending future conventions as I feel
that the true value in the conventions is in the people we go there to meet
and socialize with. The cars are a pleasant distraction that happens to
bring us all together.
