<VV> Corvin8er

Scotty,
I would never degrade someone's vehicle just because it's not stock. There's usually a lot of work that someone has put into it (whether it's the current owner or not)... along with a lot of engineering.
Am I into hotrods? Not really.... but I DO appreciate what people do to make a car "their own"... are my Corvairs "stock"? No... not exactly... but I don't go "crazy" adding or changing things...
:-)
If you can find the time, maybe you could post some pictures of your ideas (if you're cool with that... some people worry about "intellectual property" theft)...
Later,
Lonzo

I took my copy of "Hot Rod" to a CORSA West meeting this month and it got
uite a bit of attention; some were interested in the technical detailsbut
he secretary lof the org turned out to be a "strictly stock" type and
hought it was a shame that a first-class car like a LM had been "mutilated" by
anyone. Me being an old hot rodder from the 50's, I said nothing, but
hought quite a lot; didn't tell him that I was designing fans and heads for
he 'Vair.

There is a very nice article about a Corvair in the Hot Rod magazine I
ound in my mailbox today! It is called the Corvin8er and started as a high
chool project for Cory Black, who is now a mechanical engineer. Some of
he high lights are a C5 transaxle, drag style Powerglide and power
teering. Hot Rod discovered it at an autocross......."giving all the shiny
ew Porsches and BMW's a good spanking, and you that's a good time".
Check it out, in the February '12 Hot Rod magazine.
