<VV> LIFTING

for lifting cars in my present shop , i use an air powered bumper lift. it
lifts way high enough to remove power trains and gives me full room to work
under the car. it will even lift from the side. i can have a vehicle up on
4 jack stands in a hurry , without bending down to set pads etc. or
just put one end up in a jiffy. i found a used one that is very old , but works
great, cheap. i was just about to spend @$600 for a new one when it came
along. i had a smaller hoist , but it got in my way. maybe one of those side
lifters , but that takes room on the side , and gets in the way when doing
body work. 2 posters are a pain , setting pads , opening doors on the car
while up in the air etc etc. if you do not get the (mainly FC's) vehicle
set up just right , things can get out of balance quickly when you take
the powertrain out...
i think you can see a lot my shop areas (including the jack , and the dirty
floor ) in pictures on the _www.cnycorvair.com_
(http://www.cnycorvair.com) website.
just my 2 centas
regards, Tim colson
